Seán recently joined the ICHEC team (November 2011) as a Computational Scientist under the European HPC project PRACE. Seán is also in the final stages of his PhD in Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS), where he is completing his thesis on particle acceleration at relativistic shock waves. In his research, Seán has implemented numerical schemes to solve the particle transport equation using a hybrid MPI+OpenMP approach on ICHEC's Stokes cluster.

Previously, Seán completed a Masters degree in Computational Science in University College Dublin, focusing on numerical algorithms and HPC techniques.
