ICHEC is actively engaged in various educational & training activities. These include:
ICHEC has developed a number of training courses covering selected topics of High Performance Computing that it teaches on-site at its member institutions (at no cost).
As HPC becomes a vital tool in many scientific disciplines, ICHEC is in an ideal position to provide relevant teaching resources (e.g. course modules, lectures, training, project work) towards graduate programmes related to HPC/computational science.
The ICHEC Summer Scholarships offers funding and opportunities for senior undergraduate students worldwide to undertake 10-week summer projects located in ICHEC offices in Galway/Dublin.
In conjunction with academic partners, ICHEC aims to fund new PhD and postdoctoral positions through the IRCSET initiatives.
ICHEC organises workshops and participate in relevant conferences in order to better educate its users (e.g. the Blue Gene Workshop and to promote its activities (i.e. community outreach).
