Description
The standard SLES 10 and RHEL 5 releases of the GCC4 compliers are available on Stokes and Stoney respectively for users who want to use them. ICHEC recommends using the the Intel compiler suite for HPC codes.

Additional Notes
As this is the standard system compiler on Stokes loading a module is not required to use it.
GCC 4.1.2 does not support OpenMP.
