MVAPICH2 is an implementation of the Message-Passing Interface 2 (MPI2) for Infiniband based systems. This is the MPI implementation ICHEC recommends for use on Stokes.

Additional Notes
We provide an MVAPICH2 installation for the Intel and GNU compilers. These installations are all build without shared libraries. To use a particular MVAPICH2 installation load the relevant environment module:
module load mvapich2-gnu
module load mvapich2-intel
module load mvapich2-intel
