Maintenance session (downtime)

We are scheduling a maintenance downtime for next Thursday 17 May. This is primarily to install new more reliable Dell servers for running the scheduling software, so that we do not have a repeat of the Good Friday incident when the batch submission system on Walton went down due to a hardware failure. Note that there is a possibility that queued jobs may need to be discarded during the downtime. Hamilton is not included in this maintenance downtime.

The downtime will last approximately 11 hours, between 9:30 and 20:30. See http://www.ichec.ie/status for up-to-date information.
