ICHEC overview talks

A series of presentations will be given across the country to provide an overview of the Irish Centre for High-End Computing and the HEC National Service. The presentation will discuss the structure and remits of the centre, its roadmap, its hardware infrastructure, the services it will offer to the Irish research community, as well as more practical aspects of the service such as our training programme, our strategy to support researchers on our facilities, how to apply for resources, etc.

These presentations will be followed by questions & answers sessions giving the user community the opportunity to discuss their requirements and expectations in more details ahead of the opening of the national service on the 1st of September.

Thursday 11 August: Dublin City University, Room H206, at 11am.

Tuesday 23 August: Tyndall National Institute / Unersity College, Cork, Tyndall Institute main conference room (G.34), 10.30am.

Tuesday 23 August: NUI, Maynooth, Hume Building conference room, 10.00am.

Tuesday 23 August: University of Limerick, exact time and location TBC

Tuesday 30 August: NUI, Galway, IT Building, Room IT125, at 2.30pm.

Wednesday 31 August: Trinity College, Dublin, O'Reilly Institute, large conference room at 2.30pm.

Thursday 8 September: University College, Dublin Computing Services, Belfield, conference room at 10.30am.

Friday 16 September: Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS), 5 Merrion Square at 4pm.
