Adam graduated in Computer Science at Trinity College Dublin in 2019. He has worked on deep learning problems, primarily on embedded devices using sparse algorithms. He undertook an internship in the software tools group in Trinity College Dublin where he implemented sparse fully connected layers on the Greenwaves GAP8 embedded board.
Adam also worked in Movidius an Irish startup acquired by Intel that makes low powered devices for doing machine learning inference. During his time at Movidius Intel he published a paper in IMVIP (Irish Machine Vision and Image Processing conference) titled "No Room for Squares: Using Bitmap Masks to Improve Pedestrian Detection Using CNNs". The paper focused on using masks to induce sparsity in the input dataset that could be exploited by hardware accelerators.
