Introduction

The Intel compiler suite is installed on the ICHEC Fionn system and is available to all users of the system. Prior to using the Intel C/C++ or Fortran Compiler on Fionn, it is necessary to load the appropriate modules. You can load the intel/latest module for working with C/C++ and Fortran codes. By default the module points to the latest release. As significant updates are released by Intel they are installed on the system. You can use an older versions by simply specifying its specific module.

Load the Intel module: (eg.)

$module load dev intel/2015-u3

This will provide you Intel® C/C++/Fortran compilers version 15.0.3, MPI version 5.0.3, MKL version 11.3 and ITAC version 9.0.3 as well as Intel® VTUNE Amplifier, Advisor and Inspector XE 2015.
