Horizon 2020 Collaborations
Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.
As a young and dynamic organisation with a strong entrepreneurial culture, a passion for innovation and a track record of international collaboration, ICHEC have been actively leveraging the EC's Horizon 2020 programme to develop and support a number of its R&D activities through HPC outside of Ireland.
As of August 2017, ICHEC has taken part in 21 H2020 proposals (plus one in preparation) and received funding for 8 projects, leveraging €2.3m of EC funding in the process. Our success rate stands at 38%, which is particularly impressive when considered in relation to the average success rate of only 14% for H2020 ICT calls. Our current portfolio includes:
- E-CAM (2015-2020)
- ESCAPE (2015-2018)
- ESiWACE (2015-2019)
- HPC-Europa 3 (2015-2019)
- PRACE (2017-2019)
- READEX (2015-2018)
- SESAME-Net (2015-2017)
ICHEC are always seeking opportunities to develop new skills and strengthen existing ones in HPC. So if you are seeking for a friendly and enthusiastic, yet professional and competent partner for your next H2020 project, do not hesitate to contact us to explore our possible involvement in your proposal.
