Technical and High Performance Computing are key to meeting the challenges of processing, exploiting and linking data in an era of increasing data proliferation. This none more evident than in the Public Sector.
ICHEC seeks to support the public sector in addressing these challenges through partnership, delivering the expertise and capacity to meet the required scale and scope of analysis.
ICHEC works with the public sector across storage, compute and application to deliver solutions, training and services.
For almost a decade, ICHEC has been successfully working with Met Éireann to provide HPC facility for the national meteorological service’s computer models enabling Met Éireann to build forecasts for the coming hours and days. More recently ICHEC have engaged with the CSO to provide an R&D data analytics platform for international statisticians.
ICHEC also provide training to the Public Sector. ICHEC's comprehensive training courses are available on a commercial basis to Public Sector Partners. To date, the R training course has been delivered to the CSO, the Department of Health, Solas and the ESRI.
