Upcoming ICHEC courses in Linux and HPC
Attention Researchers!
ICHEC has two upcoming courses which you may be interested in.
The first course 'Introduction to Linux' will take place on Friday 27th May from 10:00am to 12:30pm. The second course 'Introduction to HPC' will take place on Wednesday 1st June from 10:00am to 12:30pm. These courses will take place virtually. Further details are below.
Course 1. 'Introduction to Linux' - Friday 27th May from 10:00am to 12:30pm.
Topics include
- Navigation through file systems,
- Learn and use UNIX commands
- Work with bash scripting and text editors
- Setting up your computer to be able to log into an HPC
- Aimed at users with little to no experience with Linux commands
Course 2. Introduction to HPC - Wednesday June 1st: 10:00 - 12:30
Topics include
- Working with modules
- Submitting jobs
- Aimed at users who wish to implement workflows on an HPC
- Some experience of Linux is required
