Pablo Suárez Vieites
Pablo joined ICHEC in 2022 as a Quantum Computational Scientist. He has been actively involved in both research and implementation across several projects, exploring the current and future applications of quantum computing in diverse fields such as natural language processing, statistical physics, quantum chemistry, and earth observation. He has also contributed to the development and delivery of quantum computing courses for both industry professionals and academic students.
Pablo graduated with a degree in Physics from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in 2020. He then worked at a quantum computing start-up in Madrid while completing a Master’s degree in Mathematical Modelling, Statistics, and Computation at the University of the Basque Country (Spain). His MSc thesis, titled Meta-Learning Digitized-Counterdiabatic Quantum Optimisation, focused on advanced methods for quantum optimisation.
